The Cupcake Shoppe is a small bakery located on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh. They have recently expanded their hours so they are open later at night, perfect for dessert after dinner downtown!
We just ordered a cake here for a coworker’s Wedding Shower.
The New Yorker – Delicious icing. The Cupcake Shoppe is the best bakery we have found in the Raleigh/Cary area.
The Raleigh-ite – The Cupcake Shoppe did a great job decorating the cake. The cake was very good, very rich. Great buttercream icing. Not exactly cheap– $2.75/cupcake. Also, The Cupcake Shoppe is not cheap on the waistline! If you buy cupcakes from here, expect to eat every single one.
Do over? Absolutely. We will definitely be back to The Cupcake Shoppe for individual cupcakes for dessert or if we need a cake made.
7/07/09: We ordered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing on top and cookie icing in the middle to feed 20-25 people. Total : $68.35.

I love this place! It’s been a while since I’ve had a sugar rush from them. I used to get them for my girlfriend as a random surprise.
Totally agree! We ordered cupcakes to bring to my parents from the Cupcake Shoppe for Christmas and everyone loved them.
