Five Star is located in downtown Raleigh on Hargett street between Boylan and West. It’s kinda hard to find because it’s in an old building.
The New Yorker – Very tasty meal. Filet was full of flavor. Duck wrap appetizer was good with a great sauce. This restaurant is right up there with pricey Chinese in NY and it’s reasonably priced. Simple menu.
The Raleigh-ite – When I think about good Chinese, I think about the crispy sesame beef I ate at Five Star. It was phenomenal. This restaurant is a great place to go for a drink, a great meal and a simple trendy atmosphere. Five Star is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Raleigh.
Five Star is really a great find, tucked away in downtown Raleigh. Can’t wait to go back!
Do over? We would eat at Five Star way more often if it didn’t take us 15 minutes to get there from where we live in Cary–but anytime we are in the mood for Chinese, drinks and driving downtown, Five Star is our spot!
